As part of the Annual Theme Design for Justice, the Delft Design for Values Institute organized a thesis competition for TU Delft students who completed their thesis on topics related to design for justice. The awards were presented at the Share Fair: Design for Justice.

“Balancing Power: Explorations towards a more decolonial Participatory Design process”
Fabiana has been chosen by the jury as the most outstanding and relevant thesis for the award. Her thesis explores how participatory design processes can be made more equitable and decolonial, addressing power imbalances that often exist between designers and communities.

About the Competition
The thesis awards competition was open to all TU Delft students who completed their thesis on topics related to design for justice during the 2023-2024 academic year. The jury evaluated submissions based on relevance to the theme, academic quality, and potential societal impact.
