Out now: Second episode of ‘corona/ethics’ podcast!
How do scientists make sense of the Corona pandemic? What is the relation of science, the public, and policy? What can philosophy of science contribute to our understanding of what science can and cannot do?
This episode called “Corona & Science” features Mieke Boon, and is hosted by Bas de Boer (both University of Twente). They talk about scientific practice, the problem of uncertainty in science, and the importance of models for scientific understanding of the Corona pandemic. Scientific literacy, interdisciplinary research and vaccination is also addressed.
The podcast series is an initiative of 4TU.Ethics in conjunction with DDfV. In this series, we ask philosophers from 4TU to consider how the pandemic challenges practices and institutions and how ethical reflection can provide a better understanding of these challenges and the response to them.
