Videos 1st AiTech Symposium on Meaningful Human Control Now Online
On Thursday 26 September, the first AiTech Symposium on achieving and maintaining meaningful human control over autonomous systems took place. If you were unable to attend, you can now watch the presentations.
The symposium was co-organised by IDE’s Elisa Giaccardi and Maria Luce Lupetti, who were also speakers. The day included presentations by the AiTech team and invited speakers, as well as interactive sessions where participants where engaged in an open conversation about matters of autonomous technology and human responsibility in digital societies.
Among the different perspectives presented by the speakers, Elisa discussed the potential challenges of maintaining control when autonomous systems meet the unpredictability and complexity of daily life, and Maria Luce Lupetti stressed the importance of addressing narratives and the potential role of artefacts for exploring the implications of different narratives in the design of autonomous systems.
All the presentations are now available via Collegerama, including sessions on:
- Trust calibration between humans and robtos during interaction
- Predictablilty of human-ai interactions
